Biographies

Mark Fallon - Managing Director                                Mark, a law graduate, is a highly experienced business manager with over 20 years experience of developing and running solution orientated software and services companies solving complex IT problems. Prior to joining BlueSky, Mark was running Northern Europe for Candle the 3rd largest independent software company in the World. Here he was acquired into IBM where he became a member of the World Wide Tivoli Management team and responsible in EMEA for running one of the largest and fastest growing software pillars  within IBM. 

Gary Haynes - Projects Director                                  Gary is a seasoned IT professional with a proven track record in business development, delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Gary has more than 20 years IT experience exclusively with commercial software and consultancy companies such as Candle Corporation, Touche Ross (now Deloitte Consulting) and more recently IBM, working in a range of business areas including finance, utilities, defence and government. Gary has worked on very large scale IT and business programmes encompassing a broad range of platforms, applications and technologies.

Dave Thomas - Finance Director                                   Dave joined BlueSky as Finance Director after a successful spell as CFO of ALG Software during which time the business doubled in size, returned to profitability and was eventually sold to Business Objects for 30 times EBITDA.  Dave, who also worked for KPMG, is a Chartered Accountant and has an MBA in entrepreneurship. 

Tom Steele - Product and Technical Director                   22 years experience in delivering large scale software solutions to Tour Operators. Tom designed and led development of the MyTravel (formerly Airtours), computer reservations system back in the mid 1980’s and is considered a leading expert in his field. Immediately prior to BlueSky he was IT Director for Holidays By Phone (UrbanWeb Limited).

Nick Fowler - Sales and Marketing Director                  Nick has been in sales management for more than 20 years. He was sales director at First Software, a management buy-out from Oracle, which grew from 45 staff in 1995 to 250 in seven offices worldwide.  After the sale to Viridian in 2000, Nick retained the position of sales and marketing director for a further six years.  Nick joined BlueSky in January 2006 as sales and marketing director.

Lesley Ingleson - Customer Services Director             Lesley has worked in the IT industry for over 20 years, initially gaining experience in a variety of roles, ranging from sales and consultancy to technical software development and implementation. For the past 8 years she has worked in the travel industry, and has operated at board level as managing director of a profitable European tour operator company as well as in IT director roles.

Falko May – Senior Project Manager                           Falko has 10 years international experience in the travel industry and consultancy companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM Business Consulting Services. As a Managing Consultant he was running complex international projects mainly in the Travel industry focusing on Customer Relationship Management, process optimisation and IT implementation programmes. Falko joined BlueSky Germany in April 2008. 

Amanda Robinson – Design Manager                           Amanda has extensive knowledge of Tour Operating business processes and has spent 15 years in the travel industry, specifically Tour Operating, with the last 10 years spent within the IT Department of MyTravel (formerly Airtours & latterly Thomas Cook).  Responsibilities included managing large scale, high risk and high profile projects and system implementations on time and within budget for one of the top four Tour Operators in the UK.

Mark Earnshaw – Head of Application Development    Former Head of Development for Gold Medal Travel Group Plc, has taken the new role of Head of Application Development. Mark’s previous position involved creating a highly successful team of talented IT professionals, to redesign and implement two of the largest consumer and trade websites in the UK (www.netflights.com and www.goldmedal.co.uk) and his industry experience enables us to focus our product development, to further cement our reputation as market leader in the travel technology industry.
