Motile BlueSky itour

BlueSky and its Mobile partner Kirona are collaborating on a project to provide Intelligent Mobile (Motile) access to the itour Travel Distribution Suite. Demonstrations of this software were showcased recently at the Travel & Technology Show at Earls Court 2, London on 13th and 14th February.

The demonstrations, done using a BlackBerry and a handheld PDA device, allowed a customer or tour operator representative to review and update booking information in real time from any location. BlueSky recognizes the increasing importance of mobile technology to enable travel operators to provide new and innovative products and services to be delivered to the market.  This technology can improve staff productivity and increase customer satisfaction by utilizing mobile technology to improve access to travel or booking information from anywhere, at anytime, on any device or network.

Kirona provide a range of vertical applications covering a wide variety of Commercial and Public Sector business processes. In local government 1 in 4 UK Local Authorities have chosen Kirona for Intelligent Mobile solutions. Kirona are also working with Oracle to provide Intelligent Mobile access to the Oracle e-business suite.
